Founder's message

Dear Friends,

My childhood apartment in Digomi is located just two hundred meters away from the Dinamo Tbilisi training ground. My father would take me there often... Similarly, my home in Bandza is only two hundred meters from the estate of Murtaz Khurtsilava. That is where I spent my summer holidays...

Meeting living football legends - Chivadze, Gutsaev, Kipiani and Shengelia in Tbilisi, and Khurtsilava in Bandza, kicking a ball around with them, receiving their kindness, and then watching them on the pitch had a profound influence on my youth.

These world-class Georgian footballers' play showed and taught me the meaning of teamwork, passion, hard work, reflection, observation and decision-making. I did not become a professional athlete myself, but I remained a devoted supporter who developed a deep desire to be more than just a spectator, but rather the author of an inspiring future endeavor.

Today, I stand before you as the founder of the Bandza Football Club. We are establishing a women’s team which through talent, diligence and discipline will become one of the leading teams in our country and very soon fight for the highest goals in Georgia and in Europe.

Bandza is a people’s club. Lincoln’s quote, "...by the people, for the people," accurately reflects the relationship between you and us. We are professionals and take care of every detail required to produce a sporting spectacle, winning matches and titles. You, in turn, are the soul of this celebration and its primary beneficiaries.

I ask you to become supporters of our, and indeed, your club.

Become fans, volunteers, members, donors, sponsors and co-owners.

Join us so that in the future, when we celebrate our first big victory, we can fondly remember that we were led to this success by a seed planted and nurtured together in the warm soil of Georgia.
